Are Spiritual Gifts for Today?

I understand that some people believe that spiritual gifts such as healing and speaking in tongues are not for today, while other still claim this to be true. If you are on the side that states these spiritual gifts as not being for today, what is your reasoning? Likewise, those who say that spiritual gifts are for today, what is your reasoning?
