Do you think the world is ending early?

...sometime around 2012? LOL. Well, I ask this in memory of a novel I read about the end of the world in which an asteroid strikes the moon and large earthquakes and abnormal volcanic activity begin to occur. The earthquakes causes tsunamis and lots of places are damaged and people dead, and the volcanic ash prevents transportation and crops from growing, etc. Sound familiar? I know I shouldn't be comparing fiction to such horrible real disasters, but there have just been so many big earthquakes and now all this volcano business. If the world was ever to end in 2012, with the global recession, global warming, and all of this-- They're making it pretty easy to believe!
